Well, I did it again… I managed to get inspired and actually create a new project for myself. This time, its a FABRIC COVERED CORK BOARD that I’m about to whip up this weekend for my office space. My office is a part of a big living room, so to make it feel more “living” and less “corporate” some fabric will “tie” it all together. A bit of fire and wood upon which you lay your intentions ENERGIZES them. So, to make it an all-inclusive endeavor, I’m making a wood-framed, subtly gorgeous animal print deco inspired HUGE cork board using THIS amazing little DIY that is uber-simple as a guide. (!!!) This is vision boards on a new level!

If you find astonishing things like this crochet bedspread from 1845 (yes, that’s not a typo!) woven strand my strand by hand to be amazing, you will geek out (as I am!) over Ruby Lane!!! Vintage bedspread, silk pillows, leather bed, incredible candles…you get where I am going with this!!!
Why only three giant chandeliers in this small room?! I mean, why not add an extra chandelier so we really get the idea that the ceiling can collapse at any moment?!
A fabulous duvet and sheet combination in the most nauseating bedroom. How ironic.
Why so bad? Well, a crystal chandelier may possibly be an impediment to entering the bed, but if that fails, a giant “office style” neon floor lamp will keep you from getting under the covers. If you make it as far as under the covers, try kicking back with a great book before bed in a room with fun house striped walls.
For bedrooms, great design is in quality, openness and nurturing chi, not in gimmicks and smoke & mirror routines…

I’m not quite sure I understand any choice made here, but I do understand that each and every choice- from “crystal curtains” to tall glass vases to monochromatic dull mustard colored everything here = wood energy in a frighteningly bad manner. Everything amplifies the expanses of wood which creates a room that is stifling and choked of life.
